Things I Learnt in October 2011

  • I found out that there are no ups and downs in life. It's the decisions you make and how you live life, that affects you.
  • I tried not to let sadness overcome me. It worked!
  • I passed in Chemistry for the first time in my life in the Monthly Test. I even got a respectable overall percentage.
  • I decided that I would never feel inferior to anyone. A confidence booster it truly was!
  • I found out that to win the respect of others, one has to be gentle but straightforward.
  • I found out that showing love to your enemies makes them your friends.
  • I found out that one should always be calm and keep a cool, clear head to overcome a difficult situation. 
  • I found out that anger is merely a devil egging you on towards trouble.
  • I found out that I should never judge a person without talking to him. The people whom I disliked turned out to be great people. 
  • I made a new friend. 
  • I stopped getting my hopes up too high or expecting too much from certain people. This saved me from a lot of disappointment.
  • I decided never to scream Pakistan Khappay in mischief after the national  anthem in the college's morning assembly (after what happened to me).
  • I found out that a height of 6.2, wearing bling shling or making bizarre hairstyles don't make you cool and intimidating.
  • I found out that one would always end up losing if he compares himself to everyone out there. Just be yourself is a great saying.
  • I found out that nothing was better than making others laugh or make them feel cheerful even though I had to make a fool of myself for it.
  • I found out that if one has love, friends and family with him then he has everything in life.
  • I thanked God for all that he had given me. I also found out that God never ignored my desires and wishes. Now I know that God waits for the perfect time to grant you your wish. God never keeps a Plan B. Plan A always works!
October truly was, a classroom for me. I was completely anonymous to sadness, depression and anger. I should write a book now... "How To Be Happy In Life"
